This is fabric with a pre-printed sashiko pattern that you can embroider! The pattern disappears when washed. NOTE: Do not iron the fabric before washing it, as the print may become permanent!
1 pack comes with a piece of fabric that can be folded, and it has a print on one half. You can sew through both layers, much like a quilt, or just through one, before sewing around the edge. These can be used as cushions, dishcloths, or napkins. When finished, it measures approximately 34 x 34 cm. The fabric can also be used for mending or other small sewing projects.
These fabrics come without thread and needle. You will need approximately 3 x 20 m to sew one of those we have pictured (or 1 x 100 m). Those that are only illustrated require only 1 x 20m sashiko thread.

Hanafukin is a little different from the technique in the video. It is important to hit the stitches more precisely as each stitch helps build the pattern instead of dotted lines, but the way to hold the needle and thread, fasten the thread, etc., is the same.
