We have created a template for Crown Anemone (Anemone coronaria) - "Palestinian Poppy"
The flower has all the same colors as the Palestinian flag. They bloom from April to June and are a strong national symbol. The stories surrounding this symbolism date back to around 1200 BCE. The flower symbolizes the relationship between the lives of Palestinians and Palestine, where Palestinians' bodies give life to the land and the flower is colored red by their blood.
This template is the same as the one used in the Mend for Palestine project bag
110 NOK from each sale is donated to HEAL Palestine, a non-profit that helps in Gaza with Health, Education, Aid, and Leadership. You can read more about them here. There is no profit on these kits, but a small amount of money left over from each to cover VAT, transaction fees, and other expenses.
The kit contains:
- Water-soluble pattern template.
- Sheet with step-by-step instructions on how to cross-stitch, the motif in several sizes, and how to use and transfer the motif if you want to stitch it multiple times without buying a pre-printed template
- Aida so you can stitch directly onto it or stitch onto something else and pull out the threads afterward
- 4 skeins of DMC stranded cotton, in black, white, red, and green
- Needle
If you purchase a Solufix template with digital instructions, without threads, 30 NOK will be donated
Use #mendtheworld #mendforpalestine if you share embroideries on social media so we can reach more people and help more.
We also, of course, encourage you to donate directly to families in need or to Operation Olive Branch. See the link above for more info.
