Multi-colored embroidery floss (DMC Cotton Embroidery floss) for decorating and repairing clothes. The embroidery floss is of high quality, colorfast, durable, and Oeko-Tex certified.
The Coloris series comes with 4 colors on each skein, and can be extra fun to repair with as you can achieve multi-colored results in darning, mending, and embroidery, without having to change threads!
For embroidery and repairing clothes with embroidery floss, I recommend cutting the desired length and then splitting the thread so that the thickness matches what you are repairing. If you use very thick thread on a thin fabric, you risk getting holes and wear at the transition between the embroidery/repair and the rest of the garment. The embroidery floss consists of 6 strands twisted together into one thick thread. You can therefore use anywhere from 1 to 6 strands for what you are sewing. For wool underwear, 2 strands are often quite suitable.
