The choice of thread colors and patches in the beginner's darning and patching kit will vary depending on what we have in stock, especially because we use fabric scraps or similar whenever possible.
The kit used to contain a metal thimble that our supplier no longer sells. Therefore, it now comes with a leather thimble instead, which is what Eva Kittelsen herself prefers, but did not use in the kit initially to keep the price lower and in case vegans wished to purchase the kit. We are looking for good alternatives for those who do not want leather. The workshop video still uses a metal ring thimble, but the technique is largely the same.
