In these 3 sessions, you will learn a little about the history of sashiko and the culture it comes from. You will see and learn about many different types of sashiko. We practice unshin stitching technique (with a thimble in the palm of the hand) and sew a sample patch that combines a couple of sashiko types. You will learn how to use Sashiko to repair clothes. Finally, we practice drawing a couple of classic patterns with the help of paper templates included.
The material kit contains
- 1x thimble for the palm of the hand in metal
- 1x 4-pack sashiko needles
- 1x 100m white sashiko thread
- 1x water-soluble textile pen
- 2x paper templates for asanoha and bishamon patterns
- 1x Quilting ruler
