Repair or decorate with the Asanoha pattern! The Asanoha pattern is a "hemp leaf pattern." It can be a bit tedious to draw it from scratch yourself, so we have developed cardboard templates you can use. (We have also made them in wood, in three sizes; you can find them here).
Instructions are included explaining how to use them, along with a sashiko needle, thread, and palm thimble.
To use these, you will also need a marker of some kind, such as a fabric pencil, pen, or disappearing ink marker. We have a selection under "marking aids." Many who sew already have these, so we have omitted them from these kits for now.
One of the extra fun things about these templates is that you can draw the pattern quite freely, making it easier to compose and experiment with placement and shape on the area you are drawing the pattern since you can build it up gradually with the templates.
