The embroidery thread is of high quality, colourfast, and durable. For embroidery and mending clothes with embroidery thread, I recommend cutting the desired length and then splitting the thread so that the thickness matches what you are repairing. If you use very thick thread on a thin fabric, you risk making holes and causing wear at the transition between the embroidery/repair and the rest of the garment. The embroidery thread consists of 6 strands twisted together into one thick thread.
