Hole in your down jacket or windbreaker?
Self-adhesive nylon patches are an incredibly simple and affordable way to repair clothes.

You cut out the piece you need (preferably a circle or an oval, because corners are more likely to come undone) and stick it over the hole.

Make sure the garment is clean, and if it's a hole or a slightly larger tear, it's a good idea to sew it up a bit first.

If you're going to sew, I recommend not bunching the hole together, but rather just sewing around it and tightening it a little so it stays in place, or even taking a few stitches across without tightening. If you tighten it, you pull on the fabric which can cause wear and tear, in addition to the bulges from a bunched-up hole making it harder for a patch to stay on.

It works best on thin fabrics with a similar texture, but can also be used on thicker rainwear and winter clothing, though it is not as durable.

A garment repaired with this can be washed at 40 degrees

Each patch measures 10 x 20 cm
