An exciting way to repair items, seal holes, or cover stains is needle felting! Felting needles have small barbs that tear and twist wool together, causing it to hook onto itself. No sewing involved! There are special surfaces you can place under your work that "catch" the needle as you poke through, but we do not currently sell these. Sponges, for example, are a great alternative to such surfaces.
It's perfectly fine to needle felt with just single needles held in your hand, at least for small projects. If you plan to felt larger items or do a lot of felting, I recommend a needle felting tool for a better grip and the ability to felt a larger area at once.
