These must be sewn on. Sew along the edge on each side where it is completely flat.
In some cases, you can sew new hook-and-loop fastener on top of old for an extra quick fix, especially the softer side can be very worn and flat and without the need to unpick.

If it's difficult to hold in place when sewing, as it can be difficult with pins in stiff materials. Then it can be helpful to secure it with a glue stick before sewing. Another option can be to tape it down around where you sew and then tear off the tape afterwards.
