The booklet covers a little about what and why we should repair, a little about different materials and how it affects the repairs, different ways of patching, some ways to darn, reinforcement of worn fabrics, fastening thread, some practical hand stitches and a selection of embroidery stitches. Each part has examples of how the techniques can be used and combined for both very discreet mending and of course visible mending. The last part has an overview of various tools that are available to mark textiles and how they can be used to draw and transfer patterns and motifs on various fabrics.
