Water-soluble stabilizer makes it easier to embroider various motifs on clothes and textiles that are difficult to draw on, even with good marking pens.
Draw a motif directly onto the fabric, or make a sketch by hand yourself, or trace a motif or image from a book/magazine or something you print out. The sheet is transparent, making it easy to trace various motifs. Test out a few different pens and pencils to see what you like to use, and check against the fabric you are going to sew on to ensure it is clearly visible, even when the fabric's color/pattern shows through.
Once you have traced it, you can attach the non-woven fabric to the area you are going to embroider (for example, over/around a darned hole, to cover a stain, or similar).
Attach it with pins, basting stitches, or simply with a large enough sheet so that you can stretch the fabric and non-woven fabric into an embroidery hoop.
When you have finished embroidering, cut away the excess and rinse the embroidery in cold water. The non-woven fabric dissolves and only the embroidery remains. Magical!
Squeeze out the water, preferably with a towel, and hang to dry.
Make sure to store the non-woven fabric in a dry place, away from steam, water splashes, damp clothes, or other things that could "melt" it away.
