Kogin is a type of embroidery that is somewhat similar to Norwegian smøyg (pulled thread embroidery) or counted thread embroidery. Geometric patterns are created by covering areas of fabric with horizontal stitches, counting your way between loosely woven fabric and building up the pattern row by row.

With these kits, you can make a pouch with a metal clasp. Use it to organize sewing supplies or other small items, to carry it around, or as permanent storage at home.
The kit contains thread, fabric, lining fabric, needle, and clasp/purse frame for a beautiful pouch.

NB! The included instructions are in Japanese. They largely consist of illustrations, but if you have never sewn before, it can be a bit difficult to interpret them. Many smartphones have translators that you can use by taking a picture of text, so that is one way to make the instructions easier to interpret.
