Aida fabric is traditionally used for cross-stitch embroidery.
It can also be used to make beautiful patches, or as a base for embroidery on clothing, before pulling out the threads in the weave to leave only the cross-stitches, which will then be even and neat thanks to the fabric!

If you use this technique, it's a good idea to embroider a bit tightly, as it will loosen once the threads in the fabric are pulled out from under the stitches.
Of course, it can also be purchased and used for regular cross-stitch embroidery.
