In this booklet you can learn 18 different stitches used on various flower motifs inspired by Norwegian Field Flowers. Each stitch is described and illustrated, and each flower has step by step photographs to help you along the way.
The booklet is made to accompany a drawstring bag with a screen printed motif you cover with stitches, but it contains all the illustrations at scale so you can use carbon paper, water soluble stabiliser, a light box, pencils transferable through ironing or other, to embroider on your own clothes and textiles.
Some of the stitches are also commonly used as mending techniques, and these motifs also include 3D effects with stitches like turkey rug stitch and picots. We blend colours together to achieve more shades without having to buy all the threads, and all the flowers in this booklet are based on real flowers found in Norwegian nature, many of which are very important for our bugs and eco systems.
